About the Maple Grove Fishing Team
We are a High School fishing team from Maple Grove, MN. Any student in 8th-12th grade is eligible to participate. The Maple Grove Fishing Team is a High School Club Sport. The 2022 team consists of over 25 student anglers. Maple Grove Fishing Team provides opportunities to fish, learn and grow as an angler and a young adult. We work with all anglers from novice to more experienced fisherman. We provide opportunity of comradery, education, and competition.
Meetings and Training Sessions
Focus on professionalism, environment and fishing tips/techniques. At times we are fortunate enough to have industry experts and professional fisherman come in and teach.
Local Lake Intra-Squad Fishing Competitions!
This is a friendly intra-squad competition with opportunities to win a variety of prizes. Members with boaters’ safety certificate can drive their own boats. After events we will celebrate as a team; recap who / how / why we caught fish providing a great opportunity to learn from each other and improve our fishing knowledge and techniques.
Fishing Tournaments - We fish the Minnesota Student Angler Tournament Trail. These are Bass Federation Student Angler Federation (TBF/SAF) sanctioned tournaments. Winners can advance to State and National Championship Tournaments.
